Frequently Asked Questions
How does Conporto work?
1. Event Notification – risk of harm alertTriggered by an appointment, a prescription, an ED triage or other encounter across providers, Conporto automatically casts an analysis of the patient’s medical records in all locations at once, and identifies if a risk of harm event is likely e.g. from contraindicated or high-risk treatment. The clinic is notified of the patient’s visit and the risk of harm details before the day begins. A medical provider (e.g. ED clinician, GP, or nurse) can also be notified at the time of treatment/encounter of the high risk of harm details.
2. Patient Summary Look-up – integrated summary patient recordWith the appropriate consents and authorisations, a Patient Summary Lookup is also available to clinicians. The software queries the patient’s medical records in all locations and provides an integrated medical summary view of all relevant information on the spot.
How does the Conporto service work?
A simple piece of software is installed on participating clinical and pharmacy servers. The system is powered by data specialists with the notifications being delivered by hMael, a secure email system.
Does the Conporto service require any special software to work?
Yes. The software agent is installed on your server with remote support and only takes ten minutes to complete. The only other requirement is that your device has a web browser and internet connection. The system is supported on all major web browsers and operating systems, including mobile devices.
What type of organisation is Conporto suitable for?
This system is suitable for health providers of any size who see patients on a pre-booked or ad hoc basis, including GP practices, urgent medical centres, pharmacies and hospital emergency departments.
Does Conporto replace the current way of doing things?
No. This service does not replace any current system; its purpose is to assist the busy medical professional to provide the best possible care to their patients.
